06. Type Choices
So the current look of the project is a work in progress. I think the book will have a similar feel, but it needs to be refined and more sauce added for sure. So thinking about the graphic design and layout of the book, the type plays an important part of the feel. Oh! Today is my brothers Birthday too! Happy Birthday Steve! But currently I am using these fonts: Museo Slab - MyFonts – LogoType. This font is kinda trendy, but strong, fun and even kinda sleek to some degree. I used this to massage into a simple logo- the one that you see in the mockups. It still has work to be done on it though. The actual font is Museo Slab.
Millar - T26 – Body Copy or subtext. I saw this font and thought it was awesome for one reason- it looked like the font from the Sega Master System- then i WAS the font from the Sega Master System. So it is contemporary and a throw back. I likey. The smoothness compliments the Museo by adding visual contrast. I dunno, I think it fits, but will have to explore more with some treatments and see if any magic happens. In any case, I want the book to be contemporary, but also have a sexy retro look too. *scratches head* hrm.
